Housing In Flintshire And The Flint Property Market

The Flint property market has an average house price of around £172 000 as of 2023. This is a hefty increase over the 2022 figures, but we monitor them constantly as the economic situation changes.

The available property market in Flintshire is predominantly semi-detached homes, though there are a good proportion of detached houses – including bungalows – and flats.

The Flint area is well provided with schools. There are nine in total, including five primary (all with a “Good” Estyn rating) and two secondary. To those moving to Flint from outside of Wales, Estyn works in partnership with Ofsted for Welsh government learning programs.

You also have good travel links in the local area. By rail, Flint station gets you to Manchester in just over an hour, London in under two-and-a-half hours, and either Crewe or Llandudno in 40 minutes. The M56 gets you to Chester in just 25 minutes and Wrexham in only a few minutes longer.

The local area is great for walkers and hikers too. There is ready access to the Wales Coast Path and the nearby marshlands are internationally recognised as an important home for wildlife, especially birds.

How Long Does Conveyancing Take In Wales?

Conveyancing takes on average between eight and twelve weeks after you first instruct us as your conveyancing solicitors. However, long and complicated chains of property sales and purchases can take anywhere up to six months or even longer in some cases.

We know how important it is to update you throughout this process. One of the biggest complaints made against conveyancers as a profession is that clients are left not knowing what is happening as the (often lengthy) process plays out. We seek to rectify that.

You can count on us to keep you updated regarding any of the common delays in the process. This includes the time required for mandatory identity checks, standard property searches – including Local Authority and, importantly in Wales, Coal Authority – and receiving your mortgage offer.

No matter what is happening, you can also contact us at any time and expect to receive a personal and supportive response from the expert handling your case.
